Tadej Pogačar secured the win on Stage 19 on July 24. The Slovenian rider attacked early on Alpe d'Huez and ended up far ahead. Only Richard Carapaz managed to get close. Pogačar's group dealt with unwell teammates earlier in the stage but he stayed healthy. His lead widened on the last climbs. Two days prior, Carapaz secured Stage 18 just seconds back.
