Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and sailors serving aboard the USS Tripoli came back to the U.S. on Wednesday. They concluded tours assigned to the 5th and 7th Fleets. At the same time, several Marines and sailors stationed in Okinawa went back to their Japan post after missions tied to the Iran situation. The Tripoli moored at its home port in Okinawa, wrapping up its deployment. The U.S. Marines and the Royal Australian Air Force completed joint drills at Dyess under the Trident Fury program this week. In Vancouver, the police marine unit rescued a week-old seal pup that had been left alone.
