Users worldwide report problems with Instagram ranging from login failures and delayed updates. Downdetector data shows a sharp rise in outage reports over the past hours. Both the app and website appear non-functional at once. Meta has yet to release a statement about the disruption as of 22 July 2026. Cases reported have been noted across its parent platform, Messenger and Instagram at the same time.
