Chase Elliott ran into the wall on Sunday at the Brickyard 400. He finished in 26th place. The vehicle hit hard but Elliott claimed the damage remained minor. Subsequently, Alex Bowman said he will retire after 2027. Bowman’s exit creates a seat that may be filled by Conner Zilisch in 2028. Elliott only mentioned Bowman following his own crash, while steering clear of driver reshuffle topics.
